"The Center for Advanced Defense Studies (CESEDEN) will host a seminar Thursday on the future of European intelligence which is attended by representatives of several European intelligence services.

Secretary of State direct the CNI, Felix Sanz Roldan, will inaugurate the seminar in Madrid. In the first round table will discuss the "new intelligence professional." In it, the Interior Ministry undersecretary, Justo Zambrana, moderate interventions Julio Alberto Carneiro, general secretary of the Portuguese system of reporting, Arndt von Freytag-Loringhoven, vice president of the Bundesnachrichtendienst (German intelligence center) and Fernando Velasco, director of Intelligence Chair at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid. Then, the former Defense Minister Gustavo Suarez Pertierra will lead the table on which we will talk about "Intelligence services and society, today, between Carmen Peña, managing director of Foreign Policy in Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain, and Juan Díez Nicolás, Professor of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid. In the afternoon, discussing "where it is going European intelligence" between Bernard Bajolet, intelligence coordinator for the Presidency of the French Republic, Oldrich Cerny, former director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Czech Republic and Milagros Hernando, director General Department of International Politics and Security, Office of the Prime Minister of Spain. The gathering will close with Javier Solana, former secretary general of NATO and former High Representative for the EU foreign policy and become responsible for the development of the Spanish Strategy for Security".
