Solana success with ETA

"If the government of Spain has the will, ETA is ready, today as yesterday, to agree on democratic minimum necessary to undertake the democratic process", ETA says in a video broadcasted by BBC and announcing a unilateral ceasefire and indefinitely without confirming whether temporary or permanent, and the decision of the terrorists to enter the democratic process. ETA says it took months for a decision does not undermine -what Diariocritico announced last April, and calls the Basque society in a democratic rule in favor of independence, something very similar to what was negotiated in the Monastery Loyola in the summer-autumn 2006 between Batasuna, PNV and PSE...
For the convenience of this new negotiating process which apparently opens with the terrorist group ETA has had much to do the decision-supported from the government of Zapatero, to appoint honorary chairman of the Centre for Peace Henry Dunant former high representative EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), Javier Solana, an appointment that materialized last March in the figure of a man who also maintained excellent relations with the Community of Sant'Egidio, founded in Rome in 1968 in the light of Vatican II and, like Henry Dunant Foundation, has participated in the resolution of many conflicts....LINK
