2012-07-10 International Security in the Eyes of Javier Solana

"The recent World Peace Forum in Beijing addressed the world's most pressing international security issues. Organized by Tsinghua University, the forum brought together top political leaders and distinguished academics to talk about the need for deeper and more effective cooperation in the realm of international security. The event marks the first time that a high-level non-governmental discussion on international security has been hosted in China. 

So, what are the best means for dealing with international security issues in today's globalized world? And how does the past international security climate compare with that of the present?
